Sleepless in Seattle

Adrienne recently had her heart broken, and last week Courtney and I headed down to Seattle to cheer up our beloved friend.

Adrienne had just moved into a new (and very empty) apartment downtown.  There was such sadness looming in the room so we decided to get out for a late night stroll through the city.  It was a clear and crisp  December night and the sidewalks were busy with people enjoying holiday festivities.  White lights adorned every tree, Santa graced Westlake Center, and horses clopped through the streets, pulling lighted carriages of people.  This was just what we needed!

We picked up some necessities and groceries for Adrienne, and with shopping bags in hand, we made a spur of the moment decision to get in line for a horse-drawn carriage ride.

has fueled my recent obsession with horses.

We walked back to the apartment, refreshed and excited about the evening.  Adrienne's place was now warm and welcoming as we helped her decorate her home and fill her kitchen.  After a couple of hours, three sleepy girls curled into Adrienne's queen bed and slept the rest of the night away.

The next morning, Courtney broke in Adrienne's unused kitchen, and made us Eggs Benedict.

We said our goodbyes, and left Adrienne with lots of love, and promises to return soon.
