Shopping Bus Day!

Wifehood and motherhood have been the most fantastic experiences of my life.  I adore my little family and savor our briskly moving time together.  Although these boys are the most important humans in my life, I find that time with friends is more precious than ever.  After Sebastian was born, my social life screeched to an abrupt halt, and in the last three years, the majority of my time has been spent as wife and mother, with little time as friend.

When Courtney called me to tell me that she had scored the two of us tickets for the shopping bus, I was ecstatic at the thought of leaving my household responsibilities for twelve hours and having a fun-filled day with one of my dearest friends.

The shopping bus is a fundraiser for Children's Hospital.  On the bus, there are cocktails, raffles, drawings, and a lot of excitement.  The bus left the Cascade Mall early in the morning, dropped us off in Bellevue, and returned us home in the late evening.

Our dear friend, Adrienne, who lives in Seattle, met up with us after we arrived in Bellevue, and spent the day shopping, dining, and celebrating our day of liberty.

So excited!

Love these girls!

Courtney won this chicken hat.  Don't be jealous.
